In summer 2007, Denise travelled to Turkey to cover religious issues there.

Her photos and articles are part of the cover story package for Christianity Today magazine in January 2008, “Jesus in Turkey: Rebirth of a bloodied church.” Her photos also appeared with Turkish election coverage in The Dallas Morning News.

Her project "The Town that Loves Refugees," about the refugee community in Utica, NY, is published in Christianity Today magazine in Feb. 2007.
